Kep Pepper Plantation

Friday, August 19, 2011

After a late lunch, we had a tuk-tuk ride about 7 kilometers through the countryside to a pepper farm . . . so interesting. We bought 5 kilos of red peppercorns, 5 kilos of white peppercorns, and 5 kilos of black peppercorns. All peppercorns are grown on the same plants; they're just harvested at different times. The white pepper is made from red peppercorns that have been dried for three days, then boiled, then peeled, and then dried again.
